Dog walking in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Looked through the archives, but couldn't find anything current about this topic.

Looking for a nice spot to tale the puppy for a walk and was wondering where?

He's still on the lead when out so no 'free running' spaces required, yet....

Are you allowed to walk dogs in the arboretum??

We have no transport, but red cars seem happy to take him with us, and live in the suan dok area.

Any advice gratefully received

There are a few places you can take your dogs to around the city that I think the red trucks will be willing to take you.

  • Huay Tung Tao. You can go into the paid area, or just the running trail outside where the temple is.
  • Payap University. Beware of the soi dogs there, there are many and very territorial.
  • Royal Flora Ratchaphruek.
  • CMU grounds just north of Ratchaphruek. I like this one best.
  • CMU grounds near the zoo.
  • Big C Hang Dong.
  • Promenada ? (Haven't tried)

Suan Buak had (sp?) the park on the S.W. corner of the moat is officially no dogs but people with friendly little dogs seem to be welcome there.

When i had two Labrador dogs i used to bring them to Huay tung tao .They used to love to swim in the lake .( not allowed but nobody ever said anything ) .
