Stevia

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where to purchase Stevia plants in Ubon or Isaan?

You mean the plant that is used as a sweetner? I'd be interested to know also.

If you are looking for a natural sweetener with no after taste for diabetics, then you use "Kontrol" in Thailand. No need to grow Stevia plants!

Perhaps they are interested in a home grown crop for income so the farmers don't have to grow sugar .

I should have been more detailed in my opening question. Xen is correct in that I'm interested in growing some plants.

Can only give you some hints. You will need help from a Thai speaking person.

In Thai it is called

หญ้าหวาน

(sweet gras)

In a German forum there was a post in May 2013, but no follow up whether growing in Isan was a success.

Just posted asking for an update.
