Anyone have recent experience purchasing a prepaid iPhone SIM in Laos? We're going to be there a week and away from WiFi, so I thought I might buy a prepaid SIM; mostly for data.

We're driving to Nong Khai where we'll leave the car, make our way to the airport at Vientiane and then fly to Luang Prabang.

I was hoping to buy a micro SIM at Wattay Airport.

This past July a friend got a iPhone prepaid micro SIM, ETL or Unitel network, I think it was, downtown at a bakery. One cautionary note, have the staff where you get the SIM to the installation. Believe they also have to phone into the service office to activate the 3G function. At least they did with my Android phone and M-Phone.
