I will be arriving in Thailand in a couple of months and may need to buy several IT and electronics items, in particular digital photography equipment, laptop related items, hi-fi related goods. Can anyone let me know of the best areas these items might be purchased in Bangkok, with empahsis on price/quality etc?

If Bangkok is not a particularly good place to get hold of these items which neighbouring countries might be worth visiting; for example how much is a return ticket to Hong Kong from Bangkok?
