I'm on the verge of purchasing a Cortina Mk 2. I will be looking for parts, I know, all made from unobtanium in this country. Any body own or know of any cars or parts?? Please contact me, thanks.

I saw one of these in Soi Khao Talo the other day. The only difference was the blue on the pictured car was green on the restored car.

Maybe some could not get the correct badge for the car and so thought no-one would know here and put a Cortina one on instead ?

Picture is a Ford Anglia made from 1959 - 1967

Picture of a Mk 2 Ford Cortina.......... The Mk 2 started late in 1966 to 1970

Edit: As a P.S. to the OP now the Mk 2 Lotus twin cam was a nice looking car, the Jeff Uren Savage was wild 220 BHP V6, Ford s own GT was mild, all special models are sort after.

The Mk2 Cortina ''Savage'' V6 3 ltr was not a production car but Ford did put this engine in the 2 door Capri.

The Ford Anglia above is a 105E. There was an Anglia earlier than that, 100E.

It does appear that I missed some important points in mentioning I had seen a fine resto job. Of course I recognised it as an Anglia 105E. Back as a kid every old lady in town that didn't have a Morri 1000 or a Vauxhall Viva had an Anglia.....plus the district nurse Sister Plummer. There was one or 2 Cortina's about as well. biggrin.png

If you wanted one now the 1970 model Cortina Mk 2 GT is around 5,000 GBP........ The Lotus Mk 2 around 17,500 GBP.... The full works Jeff Uren Savage around 30,000 GBP.... and if only I had kept my Savage V6 Estate...... there again with hindsight if I had kept my 2 x Mk2 Jags and others.

Very few about of Jeff Uren Savage Mk1 or Mk 3, also he did some Escorts, even the odd Transit and Granada, also few about is the Savage Capri, guess the 3.3 Capri beat the 3.0 GT [he raced himself a V8 Capri] the Ford in house Sports division put paid to that. by far the most Jeff Uren Savage cars sold were the Mk 2 Cortina

I was a ford man coming from Dagenham i never had much of a choice really, first was 100e anglia 3 speed with vacum wipers, mk2 cortina 1600gt, v6 granada ghia, various capri's, 2ltr jps, 2.8 inj.

Whilst in the police there was lots of granada's and sierra 4x4's to drive, both marked and un-marked before we changed to Vauxhall senators, the senators were 14mph faster than the granada's
