Hi all. I am on the lookout for a stone bench to put in my small garden. Anybody seen any in shops around Phuket?

There are a couple of big garden center places on the by pass road, there is also a big place not far from the PTT petrol station just past the small Tesco on the way to Phuket town! sorry I don't know the road names! But it's the same road as Dowroon Wittia school.

Along all the main roads you will find them, Chao Fa East, Chao Fa West e.g.

Stone? No. Concrete, yes.

East side of bypass road and north of Tesco. I have purchased 2 from there. Fair prices and same/next day delivery and set-up.

You beat me to it. Yes, they are concrete, but what are they "finished" with? Is it paint? I've never pulled a key out to scratch one. It's a tough finish, whatever it is. I've never seen one worn away to the concrete where people sit on them.

Thanks for the inputs! Concrete is perfectly ok, as long as it has a somewhat finished look to it. I assume they polish it and give it some layers of lacquer?

If you buy one from the factory, can you ask what they are finished with? Whatever it is, it's tough stuff. Maybe some sort of epoxy or marine grade paint.

Sure. My guess is the same as yours.

I've seen these benches made from polished terrazzo. The same stuff they make decorative floors out of.

Those look ,,, , especially the butterfly ones.
