Local Mirrors

Featured Replies

I have been trying to download various linux distributions from the net, most of the mirrors i find are in US or Europe and the connection to them is not good at all.

downloading 5 files in 5 segments each also gets me only 50 to 75% of my download capacity.

Is there any server in thailand which mirrors linux distributions?

Please post the known ones in this thread.

Thanks.

Nectec has a mirror site for a number of Linux distros right here in Thailand.

You might want to take a look at:

ftp://ftp.nectec.or.th/pub/linux-distributions/

Ok thanks for the link.

Which 1 I need to downloud because have so many links there..

I want LINUX SUSE 10 /9.2

It appears that the most recent Suse version available at nectec is 9.1. The iso image can be downloaded from:

ftp://ftp.nectec.or.th/pub/linux-distribu...86/live-cd-9.1/

I am not familiar with Suse and its different versions, but I suspect that if you download, burn and install from the 9.1 iso, you may be able to update from Synaptic (or the package manager Suse uses by default) to 9.2 or perhaps 10.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.
