Good tv series

Halfworlds sounds interesting... as always will depend on how they use the budget to bring it

I'm having a love/hate with Hand of God where I'm equally pissed off with it dragging it's heels... solve the damn crime already - in so many books and series crimes go unsolved as families and lovers fail to talk, it's weak.... and wondering where/how they're going to bring in the twists

Perlman makes an excellent facked up judge but the series is on fire whenever the Bobo character (temporarily misplaced the actor) is on screen

I think Scorpion finally became too ridiculous this week which is a shame as I love the premise.

Tonight more Hand of God. , Survivor - having its best season possibly ever and then calendar ckear for Jessica Jones Marathon ..next up

Just about to give this a spin too.

Dark Matter: The six-person crew of a derelict spaceship awakens from stasis in the farthest reaches of space. Their memories wiped clean, they have no recollection of who they are or how they got on board. The only clue to their identities is a cargo bay full of weaponry and a destination: a remote mining colony that is about to become a war zone. With no idea whose side they are on, they face a deadly decision. Will these amnesiacs turn their backs on history, or will their pasts catch up with them?

Haven't seen it, but, have heard the actors are all unknowns (not a bad thing) with crap acting skills.

Will give it a go when I run out of other stuff.

7.1 at IMDB but I pulled the plug on it after three episodes just did not find it entertaining . sad.png

As a long suffering Sci Fi fan I was dissapointed with Dark Matter although it did get going a bit as it went on. I must confess that if it wasn't for Melissa O'Neil (super hot) AKA #2 I would have given up early.

apparently, Melissa O'Neil was a Canadian Idol winner who got into acting. i checked out some of her old youtube singing vid and she looked butt ugly back then. they did a hell of an awesome makeover on her for the TV show.

London Spy : Starts off slower than a snail reaching for a turtle that is running away. It's about gay"s as well and their love.

Then things start to happen, ever so slow. It is almost like the makers want you to give up. But when you hold on it will slowly suck into a dark hole and you won't be able to leave.

BBC production that (in my mind-so far- )has to potential of setting a benchmark for things to come.

Currently enjoying watching with my kids Cheers followed by Seinfeld on HITS, and Big Bang Theory on Warner - some of America's best comedies.

Yes - CTH "Hits" is about the best channel on CTH!

Seinfeld is hilarious, sometimes. George's dad cracks me up!

You want a piece of me?

Limitless is going down to drain. The same way as most of the series has done.

It seems that there are very few TV-series which can keep the interest after 10 episodes.

Gonna try this too:

The Magicians: Based upon Lev Grossman's best-selling books, The Magicians centers around Brakebills University, a secret institution specialising in magic. There, amidst an unorthdox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity.

Hmmmmm........sounds like a Harry Potter rip-off.

Yah I thought that too. Still, I'll give it a shot. Can always bin it if it's crap.

These days I tend to stockplle series to binge watch over a few days (or in the case of 24, over a few weeks as I've yet to see one of the 204 episodes 5555). Those that I'm uncertain of I tend to watch the first one, just to see if it's worth downloading more. Sadly, with Sense8 I forgot :(

Quite enjoyed `Childhood's End` - a miniseries based upon book by Arthur C. Clarke

After peaceful aliens invade earth, humanity finds itself living in a utopia under the indirect rule of the aliens, but does this utopia come at a price?

Just finished watching it yesterday. Very good. Charles Dance was brilliant, as usual.

Still prefer the book, though.

Its like Harry Potter meets Narnia but if written by someone that hates themself for loving those books... it's kinda dark and twisted - you only get to be a magician if you're depressed or alcoholic or depraved or sexually deficient or emotionally stunted from what I remember however the pilot of the series rips through book one, throws in some book 2 and goes to a very dark place very quickly ... I enjoyed it as it looks like knowing the books will still allow this to be watchable.

A bit infantile in the acting and script sometimes but bags of potential...

Detectorists.

Really good English comedy with MacKenzie Crook (Gareth from The Office).

IMDB = 8.6

Just watched the first 14 minutes: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x28kkx2_detectorists-s01e01-proper-720p-hdtv-x264-tla_fun

Not my cup of tea. Just makes me feel sad that there are people living like that.
