UK visitor visa doable from CM (not agency)?

In the past have used the VFS application centre on Hang Dong Rd, I think it was, negating need for mincing about in Bangkok. Realise application/payment is online nowadays, but is this part still doable or does one need to go to the Brit Embassy in person for the bio-metric bit?

As for the British 'Consulate', believe they are of little use today for useful stuff like visas/passports...

You have to do everything online and then book an appointment in Bangkok for the biometric stuff.

You'd think this would be the kind of thing (biometric data) the consul could do. For all those overpriced letters they issue, it would be some kind of payback to the UK population here to assist in getting visas for wives etc.

Thought as much, thanks for that. Yuck!

As for the consulate, mellow.png (can't find the 'blows raspberry' emoticon).
