kkerry
Ms Sunisa Lertpakawat, the government’s deputy spokesperson. Where is Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit now? Probably in hiding like most of the PTP super-stars. Suthep's big Superstars, are just starting to come out, on the other hand. Wait until Northern People see their beloved Carabao support the Anti Government Protesters. No amount of money, will bring them down to Bangkok to fight, with Carabao on the other side. ;-) Carabao have been supporting Suthep for five years... wow! whybother
50million baht.... meh. the people of thailand and the election box speak louder than that. but its the estimated 200million baht damage to the economy that most people are worried about. seems like a no brainer. estimate 200 Billion, not million. If these protests are estimated to cost that much to the economy, I'd hate to imaging what 2 months of guns and grenades going off around the city would have cost.

Time Traveller
Any Thai business person whose business is now at risk of failure because of the ongoing tantrums by the losing democrats may also feel Suthep's "disappearance" would make the country much better off. Smokemachine
there was 50k bounty for capturing suthep, but this one is just a made up story. In the case of violence during occupation of bangkok, military would make a coup. btw there are most probably millions of thai who would kill suthep with their bare hands for free maybe... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=272629396219795&set=a.109928845823185.19885.100004182103583&type=1&theater
Popular Post SamMunich
I really LOVE to read all these posts about killing Suthep and then, whether a bullet is cheaper than a rope (it is) or vice versa. These posts show the mindset of the persons writing, which I would think is not really worth to note or react to. If I would request you to use your brain, you will most likely call me an elitist, whilst my point is, that you got a brain,- so use it! Isn't it strange: Red shirt supporters and leaders likewise are quick to call for murder of their political opponents, with Chatuporn, Nuttawuth, Arisaman and others on record, if I remember correctly. And then dumbheads are echoing this nonsense. OTOH I can't recall anybody having called for the killing of any of the Shin clan members. Exiling, yes, but killing? No! Must be a matter of the way, how some people think democracy is supposed to work, by discussion and debate or by brute force... Good night, Sam M.

chainarong
These are the kind of people you don't want at the Sunday arvo BBQ, the treachery that emits from this crowd of thugs is the stuff books are written about, who could trust anyone of them , I would not be surprised if they are intending to Nuke BKK with the help of Nth Korea on the 13th, anything is possible, they have pulled lots of shonky stuff since the years of Thaskin, the Mr Big of the PTP bandits. Often they're taken before the event has begun or when it's winding down. Like that proves anything. But it's especially ironic when it comes from PDRC supporters who're afraid of nothing more than testing their popularity with an election. Turn a clown into a martyr?! Well, exactly. If PTP wanted to kill him, it wouldn't be that easy given the guards around him etc, but I think they could do it without offering a bounty. But they know he's only a front for the protests anyway, and turning him into a martyr, like you say, is the last thing they want. The idea that documents would be signed is especially ridiculous, lol. That's why I said it's as laughable as the doctored tape in which Abhisit orders the military to kill red shirts. Local Drunk
.... one of [Lyndon B] Johnson's favorite jokes is about a popular Texas sheriff running for reelection whose opponents decide to spread a rumor that he f**ks pigs: “We know he doesn't, but let's make the son of a bitch deny it.” Similar to the old "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" question. Really, the mental age of these people should be measured in dog-years, or rather the other way around. When I was doing a bit of dirty politics in my early days... that was a standard policy. "Are you still denying being a blah blah blah or doing this or that" and then hammer with single issue politics because it's consumer friendly. Press conferences and Town Hall meetings were the best... ask a few legit questions get them relaxed and then "whack em with da wicked stick!" Politics is a brutal game... It's all about winning. michaeljordan
Suthep walks down the street while openly calling for the overthrow of a democratically elected PM. He says he does not want elections because he knows the yellows cannot win. I notice so many of the posters here are trying to find humor in this situation but likely if it were their home, they would not find it so funny. Is it funny that the economy is slowing and likely to fall into negative GDP soon? Maybe is is a good laugh that the media all over the world is attacking the Thai elite for this power grab. I can assure you that if violence breaks out and dead are in the street that even you boys and girls now having a laugh might find things less than funny. About this threat. The problem is the many on both sides would likely kill the opposing side for free if given the chance. The assumption by so many is that this coup to come will be the same as the last and that your lives in Thailand will then go on as usual. That could be so but when you play with fire, a disaster could occur the likes of Beirut. While the Generals are all publicly either neutral or Yellows, the in-listed men under these generals are split and likely in a 60% to 40% leaning toward the Red cause. If some of these groups were to take up arms in the defense of the Lady PM, this nation would be torn apart in violent conflict. Yes, this coup might be the same as the last, but the Reds could fight back this time and that would end your stay in Thailand my former drinking buddies. Get your passports ready for your run over the boarder should you need to get to safety.
