Pressure cleaner for sandwash / aggregate

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a good company that can water-pressure clean sand-wash, or what we call "aggregate" in the states? Pressure with steam is the best and I want it cleaned before I seal it.

Thanks.

I bought a high pressure water cleaning machine for my sand wash at pool. It is marginally ok. I would never use sandwash again however

It really depends on how well the initial installation was done, enough cement and proper surface treatment.

We have sand wash round our pool and on the pathways. We have to high pressure clean every few months, Tried the sealant spray (at high cost). Waste of time and money. I would really like to rip it all up but we are stuck with it for now.

I agree with those that would shy away from sand wash. Never again for me as well. Even with expansion joints, good cement base and application you get hairline or greater cracks. Not a big deal until you try to repair them - impossible to match; the sand mix will never match due to weathering, lime content of the cement, etc.

FYI: There is an excellent sealer product available at the Home Repair shop by the Mazda dealer just past the Ping River on the super highway.

I feel the same way.

I have a problem with this as well...when they finished, they applied some polyurethane sealer, which after couple of years faded on top and became matte...and dirty that even a pressure washing wouldn't help....does anybody have an idea, how to clean it,or remove the sealer ? There is no cracks, only looks really dirty....
