If you hold an Irish passport or have a parent or grand parent born in the 32 counties (Irish republic and Ulster) you can bring your Thai spouse home free of visa fees to Eire.

For Irish passport holders the route is via http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Visa%20Fees

Getting your Thai spouse to Eire visa free is easy as long as you are prepared to live in the 26 counties. Your Thai spouse will be allowed to enter the UK via EU rights.

To gain an Irish passport your Thai spouse needs to spend three years in Ireland.

While living in the 26 counties you can still work in Ulster/UK.

For example live in Drogheda but commute across the border.

Please post more information in response to this post.

I believe that this thread is aimed at circumnavigating UK Visa Regulations, and as such is misleading and dangerous.

Unless I can be convinced otherwise I'm going to close this thread.
