Government water supply

Featured Replies

Being as we are discussing water I have dried up a few times here in Patong the mystery is I have 2 Above ground tanks linked, both with ballcock I notice even when I have mains water when I turn on the tap I here the pump kick but when i run out of water there is still water in the tanks I can't understand why that is.

Any ideas

Is the pump active even with mains water?

Much would depend on the plumbing layout, but I would guess that maybe the mains pressure is a lower pressure than your pumps cut-in pressure, so you pump might work to compensate for low mains pressure.

I have been in this house for 3years and it has always worked ok I here the pump working when nobody in the house is running water , can't understand I have water in the tanks and none in the house I will have monitor the tanks a bit more and see if I can work out why, there is no leaks that I can see

I recently arranged a quote for a customer & that was the result. The well drilling guy would definitely not do one without the licence. I also understand they put a meter on the line so you have to pay for how much water you use. A bit like the electricity guys extracting huge sums to install a transformer when it should be there job to do it in the first place.

Yes, there is a charge, but, I believe it's very cheap. Certainly a lot cheaper than buying water delivered in a tanker.

Even though I don't use water from my deep bore, as I use a well, we still have to fill out a form with deep bore water usage every month and fax it to some government department.
