You realize that it's not Suthep who is blocking the entire city. He's not that fat. It's his pawns who are blocking it, so obviously if you want to open the city you have to go after them.

Makes sense?

" He said the actions would be taken by the CMPO and would have nothing to do with the prime minister," adding "I'll take responsibility myself. "

Didn't Nattawut utter those words ? I wonder how that's going ? Why the attempt to free Yingluck from responsibility ? But really - what's with the 72 hours schtick ? Is anyone supposed to be still taking notice of Chalerm's perennial application of the future tense ?

Assault units? So he does want violence. Can't wait till he gets his cold plate of karma served up to him. What a sick, drunken parasite.

What do to think would happen if a group of thugs occupied the White House or the Elysee Palace?

Do you think other countries would send clowns to join the party and provide entertainment?

Nope. Assault teams. And much sooner. They wouldn't wait 3 months.

They also have the right to gather and protest. The USA? Ever heard of 1776? Anyway, all of that has nothing to do with this...apples & oranges.

If we go by your standards, then thousands of red shirts would theoretically have been eradicated 3 years ago, right? Nice drinking, I mean, thinking, on your part...

Assault Units...or Red Shirt assassins?

Anti Idiots.

Not Anti-idiots, but realistic readers...

An Anti-idiot is someone who do not understand the word Assault.

So special for you some education…...

In common law, assault is the act of creating apprehension of an imminent harmful or offensive contact with a person. [1]

An assault is carried out by a threat of bodily harm coupled with an apparent, present ability to cause the harm. It is both a crime and a tort and, therefore, may result in either criminal and/or civil liability. Generally, the common law definition is the same in criminal and tort law. There is, however, an additional criminal law category of assault consisting of an attempted but unsuccessful battery. The term is often confused with battery, which involves physical contact. The specific meaning of assault varies between countries, but can refer to an act that causes another to apprehend immediate and personal violence, or in the more limited sense of a threat of violence caused by an immediate show of force.[2][3] Assault in many US jurisdictions[which?] andScotland is defined more broadly still as any intentional physical contact with another person without their consent; but in England and Wales and in most[citation needed] other common law jurisdictions in the world, this is defined instead as battery. Some jurisdictions have incorporated the definition of civil assault into the definition of the crime making it a criminal assault to intentionally cause another person to apprehend a harmful or offensive contact.

Suthep wants the army to protect a mob breaking the law against potential attacks from voters blink.png

Maybe Mr S. you should consider this, Sunday in Northearstern Thailand where yellow shirts protested peacefully and PTP has a huge majority there was no incident.

Only in the South and Bangkok where yellow flaunted the SOE and besieged polling stations did any violence break out.

Shouldn't that tell you something Mr Suthep?

Thanks. Indeed that guy needs to be in the special education program. Or get off the sauce and spend day 3 in Thailand outside Khao San road pubs.

What do you think would happen if Barack Obama was tried and convicted of abuse of power and ran overseas from a prison sentence and then managed to get his Sister in his place to get him off of his crimes?

If his Sister was democratically elected by the majority of the people, I don't see any problem. His sister hasn't been convicted of anything and you don't have any proof of Thaksin giving any orders to her to run the country.

Do you have any evidence you're withholding or is it just an opinion in your head?

Now, back to the point ...would the US or France send clowns or an assault team?

Think you need to read up on how YL became PM, she certainly wasn't elected by the majority of Thai people.

No, you don't; not whatsoever. Consider sobering up before posting. Pawns? The more educated tend to vote the democratic direction. So red shirts are intellectuals by far and large, and pro democrats with masters or doctorates are probably the pawns? Listen to yourself. Clueless. You arrived yesterday?

anyone who follows anybody elses balbbering..I don't give a sh_t what color shirt you where..is a pawn...and thats why this world is in the condition its in...mindless idiots who are just as guilty as those they are waving their fingers at...feeding the bored and confused masses with worthless BS...Suttep does it and so does Yingluk...all the "GREAT" leaders do it..with I would say maybe a few exceptions...Don't get fooled by this hogwash...ask yourself who is really benefiting from all this>>>who?

yes it tells me you have no idea what your talking about! The conflict thay jave happend have been when the government have told the redshirt to fight the anti government protesters and they instigated it by going to the anti government sites that fault falls on the reds and the government. Also most of the violence have been instigated by the reds or by MIB if you chose to believe in that or not. Your talking about violent protests have you been to any of the sites and seen it with your ow two eyes?

how about give then 12 hours. And then move in and move them if necessary. Could you please then move them away from Asoke-Sukhumvit intersection and then from Silom Rd. I just took a walk along both sites today. It was early morning at Asoke and not much happening. Silom on the other hand is an absolute circus. Screeching karaoke grandmas and opportunistic vendors flogging fake watches and hello kitty knock-offs. The face of the democratic movement. What a joke. An excuse for some karaoke from some under-empoyed grannies, thugs, bullies and layabouts - and of course the street vendors, to f@#$k up life for ordinary citizens.

And you are an "ordinary citizen?"

Protesters ordered to retreat from govt property within 72 hours
By Digital Content

BANGKOK, Jan 27 – Caretaker Labour Minister Chalerm Yubamrung today warned of tough action against protesters unless they withdraw from occupying government buildings within 72 hours.

“If they refuse to move back to their rally sites before the deadline, an attack unit, which will be specially set up today, will round them up on charges of violating the Emergency Decree and intrusion,” declared Mr Chalerm, who is director of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO).

His newest position came on the heels of the government’s invocation of the state of emergency.

He blasted protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary general of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), for motivating the public to disrupt the advance election and intimidating intending voters at polling stations.

He expressed condolences for a slain protest leader at a polling booth inside Wat Sri-eam in Bang-na area yesterday and said the national police chief was instructed to hunt for the gunmen involved in the shooting.

He charged PDRC and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) with collaborating in obstructing the election in the capital – an activity disapproved by international rights organisations.

Mr Chalerm said police have issued an arrest warrant for a group of Chumphon residents for involvement in a weapons robbery at Nong Kham police station, and warned actors and entertainers against joining the anti-government protests.

“The prime minister will instantly revoke the Emergency Decree if the situation is back to normal,” he said, claiming an official report which blamed a third party for creating violence and putting the blame on the government.

Meanwhile, Thaworn Senneam, PDRC leader in charge of the Victory Monument rally site, filed a lawsuit with the Civil Court today against caretaker Prime Minister/Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Mr Chalerm and National Police Chief Adul Saengsingkaew, in his capacity as CMPO deputy director, for infringement of the protesters' rights.

He asked the court to nullify the state of emergency and prohibit the use of weapons in dealing with protesters.

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the PDRC demonstrations were peaceful without any weapons involved, thus it would not be necessary to invoke the Emergency Decree, said Mr Thaworn.

He asked the court to hold an urgent hearing to provide safety to protesters and return democratic rule to the people.

The court later opened an urgent trial of the case with Mr Thaworn appearing for the hearing. (MCOT online news)
