Music licence for a cafe

Featured Replies

Hi everyone we have a small cafe and want some back ground music

Does anyone now were to apply for one in Chiang mai

Sent from my HTC One mini using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

I expect you to get several replies here, with links to bmi music industry and the other one that controls copyright on recorded music.

If you actually get any further than sending email then you are lucky.

I tried for a month to get one, every copyright licencee holder going and the best I got was an automated thank you for your enquiry message.

Believe me if you are upsetting the music industry they will write to you and respectfully suggest you obtain a licence rather than those music police who are just a set of criminals.

Anyone who did genuinely obtain a licence from the bmi and does so every year...would they kindly spell out the procedure and the contact email or number.

Upto you but I wouldn't even concern yourself with it.

I would download some really obscure background music, then fake a CD cover with your picture on it holding a musical instrument.

Then if the busies come round to pester you, you can tell them that you are the copyright holder and own all the performance rights.

If someone gets out a smart phone and opens SoundHound, leg it.
