iPhone 5S and iPad Air

iPhone 5S and iPad Air drive record Apple revenues,

but iPod sales down 52%

The iPhone and the iPad continued to be popular with consumers during the last three months of 2013

despite stiff competition from other manufacturers, if Apple's results for the first quarter ending December 28th are anything to go by.

The American tech giant reported record quarterly revenues of $57.6bn and quarterly net profits of $13.1bn,

which it says were driven by smartphone and tablet sales and compare with $54.5bn and $13.1bn for Q1 2013 respectively.

Apple also reported all-time quarterly sales records for the iPhone and the iPad, with 51 million smartphones and

26 million tablets sold during the period, helped no doubt by the new iPhone 5s and iPad Air.

This compares with 47.8 million and 22.9 million sales at the same point in 2013.

I bought an iPad Air 32 GB yesterday at Big C.

Never owned one before (an iPad that is) but thus far like it, the only minus what I can see (thus far) is the Camera quality but then again who goes out with their iPad and uses it to take pictures biggrin.png

Also, Big C gave us 1600 THB in vouchers (to spend in the store (also on food items) and some other discounts, totaling around 2k.

How much was it at Big C?

Prices should be fixed for current apple products if they are an approved reseller, should be the same as the price shown on store.apple.com/th

There's a few ipad airs and iPhones for sale in thaivisa classifieds if you want it cheaper.

I love my iPad 3rd gen but the Air is almost too thin. Also prefer the beveled design of the older models to the squared off Air. Never understood the appeal of the iPhones with their tiny screens. My next tablet will probably be something like the new samsung 10.1 2014 Edition.
