Small spots on lower leg

Featured Replies

Noticed only recently. Swimming in pool almost every day. Any clue what it could be. Looks ugly. Not itchy, nothing, only ugly. How to get rid? Or at 67 normal?

Looks like a possible contact dermatitis, if so a cream containing cortisone or other steroid should help.

If it persists you'll need to figure out what the irritant is.

From the location I would suspect something you walked through, there are some types of weeds here that are very irritating to the skin.

If it were from chemicals i nthe pool I would expect more areas to be involved.

how long do you got it?

If it doesn't get better in a few days you should do something.

Not stating the obvious, but Google "skin rash" and switch to images, you will certainly find one that looks the same, and get some idea what it is

Things may look the same but caused by different things, specially by untrained eyes....

Too much sun?

True...one of my girlfriends got something looking like that from too much sun....I didn't believe her first, but it was true....but it disappeared relative fast (1-2 days)

The photograph is not that clear. If these lesions take long to heal, it may also be helpful to look up "actinic keratosis" a pre-malignant skin condition that appears around your age. Steroid ointment (not cream) may help but it is always best to get a proper diagnosis from a dermatologist.
