East Pattaya Casino shutdown by Police and District Officials



PATTAYA: -- On Monday Night more than 50 Police and District Officials conducted a raid on a luxury house in East Pattaya and uncovered a fully operational Casino with poker rooms, roulette and black jack tables along with massage facilities, a bar and restaurant.

All this was taking place in a fortified luxury house in the Little Venice Housing Estate off Soi Siam Country Club in East Pattaya. Information was given initially to the Chief of Banglamung District, Khun Sakchai, by concerned individuals who wanted the illegal operation shutdown.

A search warrant number 30/2557 dated 17th February 2014, was obtained by the District Chief who cooperated with Nongprue Police and conducted a raid on the house.

Or maybe someone reported it to the police, they got a warrant and raided the place.

I realize reality doesn't always fit the Farang Fantasy Factory perception of life in Thailand, but not everything here follows the script of some B-rated Chuck Norris movie.

Gambling and sex is strictly forbidden in Thailand, but every Thai made TV show/soap opera/ crying TV shows somebody shooting somebody. Weapons as firearms are loved all over Thailand, they even show the kids how to kill, on TV. Sow the kids to make love is strictly forbidden. This does not make sense for me. What is wrong here ? Thais, so-called Buddhists loves firearms and killing, but not love and what`s following the love.
