Sam Burgess leaving Rugby League going to Bath

Featured Replies

A bit disappointed at this as I would have liked him to carry on with Souths but it will be fascinating watching him coming to terms with the new code and if he can make the England squad for the World cup.

More money for less work. Didn't think he was the type to be honest.Still won't be watching union.

Yes, if he plays at inside centre I suppose it's a bit late for him do the real donkey work as a back row/breakaway forward as he doesn't have the experience in the rugby union scrum. Still he comes across as adaptable and he is a skillful fella so he might become one, eventually. though I see him going back to league after the World cup, probably rejoining the Bunnies. BTW I was watching Benji Marshall playing 'Super Rugby' on Saturday on the telly and he came on as a sub for the Blues, straightaway he looked excellent but he had played Union before being a league player. How do you see his old club, the Tigers going this year in the NRL, TW?

I'm a bit out of touch to be honest.. Though I will be in town to see the Tigers v Souths game in round 3 with the Thai gf.

Marshall is a natural and should thrive against union defences as long as his team mates are ready for the unexpected..
