Could it be possible they bid against certain stocks so that if they lose value, they end up making a huge amount of money? I wouldn't be surprised if he did that and made billions in the process. diehard60 Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 now lets see if the reds do the same, maybe they will want to keep going as long as the independant courts do not do what they or the ptp/thaksin want them too, ie, stop investigating the corruption that is the ptp and finding them guilty, not letting thaksin get off his charges and get all his money back as well as releasing all the guilty reds from 2010 or stop any further proceedings against them. The idiot red shirts are blocking EC so no chance of new elections in time 3. The idiot red shirts want to defy courts, army will act on its own 4. All agency fed up with shins 5. Shins lost billions from stock losses. Now Suthep only needs to wait for a month or so and shins are out "idiot red shirts" this, "idiots red shirts" that, "Shins", "Shins". The one thing that everyone has to agree on is that suthep says one thing and does something completely different. He is the biggest lier in Thailand. It will be like a zoo without visitors. I think he's preparing his escape. Too bad he couldn't turn his movement into a democratic alternative for Yingluck. He used the wrong tactics and behaved like a madman. Now there's no real alternative for Yingluck, which is also pretty scary. Popular Post Yunla Posted March 1, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted March 1, 2014 The Bangkok Shutdown (BS for short) achieved nothing, and indirectly cost a lot of lives and injuries, indirectly because this is what happens when one side of a volatile and polarised situation vows to throw the other side out of the country and in some speeches to kidnap their families etc. I certainly don't believe Suthep wanted deaths or injuries, but this was inevitable from the moment he declared this zero-tolerance approach to his opponent, an opponent who are famously quick to anger. Taking the battle out of the political and legal sphere and onto the streets, coupled with seriously incendiary rhetoric and unwillingness to give ground, has led indirectly to deaths, injuries and massive economic harm to small businesses and tourism. And what did any of it achieve? The only time Yingluck was on the ropes, was when the farmers drove to Bangkok to demand their rice money, and this was unrelated to the Suthep's overthrow movement. And the farmers would have stepped up eventually anyway, due to them having been left with no choice. Apart from that incident, Yingluck is still in the same leaky boat she was in already, facing the slow and insufficient legal consequences of her actions these last years. I think the 300k+ anti-amnesty massprotest in late November / early December was totally legit and worthwhile and made a big statement without provoking too much violent rage from the other side. Their family wealth has increased a whopping 450% since little Poo took office and big brother told Forbes his sister's government sent him I billion baht.
