Honda LS 125R 2002

Featured Replies

Someone has offered me this little bike which I quite like as it's very tidy and appears extremely original, albeit it has 77,000kms on the odo which might be right or wrong, who knows.

I'm sure there's plenty of you out there that know lots about them, how much is it worth and are they a popular model?

Thanks.

1st question do you like it ? How old are you and what do you need a bike for ?

Do you envision yourself riding an obsolete (2 stroke) sporty small bike of 15 yrs ago ?

I don't need it at all and have a number of vehicles/bikes around the place.

I just quite like it as it is a great candidate for a light restoration.

No problem for me to ride it.

Then offer like 10K and go from there.

Personally I would keep 1 or 2 good bikes intead of collecting stuff that invariably will sit rotting, but understand not everyone is the same.

If you want an ever better smokey, look for an nsr150. 39 bhp vs 24.

My brother has one of those he's had from new. It's sitting inside his BKK house and has less than 200kms on it. Absolutely like new.

He won't sell it though, and I wouldn't either.

LSR's are great little bikes, had one in the late 90's in Samui.

24 bhp isn't a lot, but it's enough for the occasional 2 stroke buzz that I quite miss. Even the 2014 CBR250R only has 24bhp, so not bad from a little 125.

I agree.

Went for a ride on it today and enjoyed it.

If my memory serves me correctly, my Suzuki TS 185 from many moon's ago (1971?) had 17 bhp which I lightly modified and as a young fellow, I enjoyed that too.

I've had my share of big bhp in cars over the years and don't need that anymore.

For me, it just looks like a nice little bike to make 'as new'.

After looking on the net, I am now aware the graphics and colour layout on this bike are wrong, which if I become the owner shall be corrected.

Small things, make small minds happy I guess!

If I can buy it, I shall make it 100% correct as that is the way I like things.

If you get it restored Woodsie, be sure to post a pic or 2. I had an NSR and TZM in the past and really love the old 2 strokes. I still can't decide if I should get a modern 300-500cc 4 stroke or restore an old NSR250/NC30.

If i do acquire it, yes I shall post before and after pictures.

NSR250s are MCxx. NC30 is the VRF400. Both are expensive to restore to high specs.

I actually meant NSR250 or NC30, apologies.
