No FLY???? :o (maybe he got banned again???)

I'm thinking that the Fly is with us , and in the competition............Donz ?

:D

I started to like Donz until he morphed back to The Fly, although is he the original Fly? It seems highly likely that any one of the 18 million bread thieves could be a potential Fly. :D

OK chaps , just a bit of info for your perusal. I will be away from Fri until Monday afternoon, on return to Chez Chon, monday evening, I will then calculate and publish the scores at that point.

Thereafter, saddo that I am, I will update the prediction table on a daily basis.

If you are entering your scores on a daily basis please make sure that they are with me before kick off! I have no problem calculating and updating your individual; spreadsheets retrospectively. I will publish my own predictions on here, in advance of the games.

As I am away Mon-Fri I will publish my first 4 days ( 11 games ) predictions here on Friday Morning.

If anyone has any concerns please let me know , either here , via PM, or email.

By end of play monday there will be a potential 50 points plus available, so it will be interesting to see if a leader has emerged.

It's a shame we weren't closer, then we could have had a small collection and perhaps a few prizes could have been offered. Oh well theres always Euro 2008.......

Heres the first four days matches, some great viewing lies ahead fellow predictors.

Video Game Simulation (FWIW), from the NYTimes:

"CZECHS WIN, IN A SIMULATION The Czech Republic defeated Brazil, 2-1, for the title when the game manufacturer Electronic Arts used its video game, 2006 FIFA World Cup, to play a simulated tournament. The simulation was used to play all 64 games. In the first round, the game had the United States tying the Czechs, 2-2, defeating Italy, 3-2, and Ghana, 2-0, and losing to Brazil, 3-2, in the second round."

They may need to reconfigure the software, for the first round at least!

There's 20 million of us you bugger. :o Get your facts right if you're going to insult us. Of course, the original bread stealers were all Brits, we're just their decendents! :D:D

Yeah, I know, but I was guessing that at least two million must have been rehabilitated by now :o:D

In reply to Sing_slings earlier question , if you want to enter the compo you have until

Fri 9 0100 GMT ( 0200 Deutschland / 0600 Thai time )

This is the deadline to enter the compo, any entrants after this time will be void.

This is a cut-off to the compo, if you wish to redo the Friday games predictions after this time, you can , as long as I have had some predictions from you, it really is just a cut off to see the total amount of entrants, so I can tidy up this stage of the compo.

If you wish to send them in one day at a time, thereafter I must have the predictions before kick off of each game predicted.

any questions please put them here or pm me.

I will put a definitive list of entrants at 0100 GMT, also I will post my first 4 days predictions.

:o

[Edited by Scouse - Chon deducted 10 points for not being able to spell "Deutschland" (now corrected) :D ]

One point has been brought up by pm, and I feel I should mention this here.

In between the times when I publish the prediction scores/leaderboard etc, which will be at least every 2 days, could entrants refrain from posting their current scores on this thread?

It may undermine the competition and clutter up the thread.

All other comments and pi$$takes are , as always, most welcome. :D

Christ I sound like a trainee mod...... :o
