I'm thinking of getting Rhinoplasty and Alarplasty in Thailand. I just don't know where to go from there. I'm indonesian, I had a nose surgery before but its a bit crooked. I like the height of my nose bridge but the width of my nose is disproportionally too big for my face.

I have checked Yanhee and Bumrungrad and also PaI.

I heard a few of the Doctors mention somewhere here in other forum; such as Dr Greechart and Dr Preecha however I would like to get more opinions on this matter.

I would like to get a medical agent as well for my own sake. If anyone had amazing agent that they used and would like to share please share XD

Any tips would be greatly apreciated!

Yes, only do this in a hospital. Dr. Preecha and Dr. Amron (the latter at Bumrungrad) are tops but also much more expensive than most. Dr. Greechart is quite able as well.

You do not need an agent and there is no value added to having one, to be frank. The hospitals are all well accustomed to receiving patients from abroad and will assist with the necessary logistical information.

Yanhee will provide quite detailed online consultations if you fill out their form and provide pictures.

I'll make sure not to use general anesthetic. Bumrungrad is a bit out of my budget tho I shouldn't be thinking about cheaper doctors because it is my face but there's gotta be other doctors other than Bumrungrad that are exceptionally good with rhinoplasty.

I'm leaning toward Yahnee but what I heard about the place is making me worried.

Yanhee has a generally good reputation so I am not sure what you have heard. But like any hospital, the choice of doctor is key.

I personally considered going to Yanhee in the past. Ended up going elsewhere but not because of any concerns re the hospital or the doctor. Had a consultation with Dr,. Greechart, so I have met him, and I was favorably impressed, and all the feedback I have had on him from others has been favorable.

Price at Yanhee will be considerably less than Bumrungrad.

If however it is still out of your price range, you could consider Sikarin Hospital. It is a small community hospital not far from the airport. I had vaser liposuction with Dr. Narongdej with excellent results and was favorably impressed by the hospital. I haven't heard from anyone having nose work with him, but there is another doc there who is US trained in maxilofacial surgery and ENT, Dr.Prasert Punpromthada.

As Sikarin is in the suburbs of Bangkok and not yet well known internationally their prices are well below that of Yanhee, but it is a fully equipped hospital of good standard. However you may find long distance consultations with them not as easy as with Yanhee. The docs speak good English but not other staff at the hospital. Can try though. http://www.sikarinaesthetic.com/doctor1_en.php

Do avoid the stand alone clinics, on safety grounds.

Thank you guys for all your helps!

I sent out virtual consultations with Greechart, Preecha, Prasert, and lastly Somyos kunachak. Dr Preecha and Somyos replied back but it seem Preecha didn't seem to be interested of taking a look at my nose pictures. Dr Somyos did toke a look at my nose profile and this what he said I need

Osteotomy

  • Replacement of implant
  • Alarplasty
  • Possible septoplasty
  • Columella plasty

It will cost about 7900usd without septoplasty...I didn't expected I need all of that to fix my nose and to top it off I will need to be under general anesthetic he said. I will be waiting on the other places to give me their opinions. Since it is a general anesthetic should I avoid this place like a plaque if I do need all of that procedures?

I believe he is from the stand alone Yoskarn Clinic?

You have read the threads no doubt........what's your thoughts?

Warning for foreigners visiting the LeLux plastic surgey hospital in Bangkok

am an expat living in Thailand for the past 20 years and had some plastic surgery done in the past. Now is time for my lower and upper eyelids and maybe some fillers or botox injections.

I have checked out several places and still not yet have the confidence to go with any of the surgeons. I was having a meal recently at a restaurant and the waitress told me about how cheap she could do so many treatments on her face. I told myself to check out the Lelux even if it is far away from my place. After calling them I got an appointment with the doctor. Arriving there on time the manager who asked me for my passport started to take care for my questions. I mean it was more the pricing then anything else . A consultation with the doctor is not free which I did not know in advance around US$ 100. Then he told me prices for filler plus 75 % prices for botox plus 75 % etc etc. I asked him what are this 75 % and he told me that is the additional charges because I am not a Thai citizen.

This was such a shock to me. I speak the Thai language very well. After that one of his secretary came to apologize and told me I should have registered with a Thai ID card to avoid the extra charges.

I have an appointment with Dr. Greenchart at Yahnee hospital next week as I know they charge the same prices for Foreigners and Thai citizens and the review from this doctor seems good.

Sure , I will definitely decide after meeting him which doctor I feel comfortable with, as I have visited a number of places already. The other choice would be PSI clinic Dr. Preecha.

Cool, do you know what Preecha's prices are? Feel free to pm me if you don't want to post publicly!

they quoted me THB 24'000 for lower and guess with upper is double. Yahnee THB 18'000 x 2 = 36'000 lower and upper eyelid. Hope this helps. I had lower eyelid surgery with him 20 years ago and it was fine.

Sorry, I was referring to original poster's rhinoplasty. I must have been confused. I'm still interested in how you find the quality of service at either or both though :)

I have not met Dr. Preecha yet, I was supposed to fly there last week to have a consultation but got sick. They quoted me around 4k dollars for revision, reduce nostril, and tip enhance.

I did not know they would charge you for consultation. I wonder if you go ahead with the procedure would the fee be credited back?

Preecha does NOT charge for consultation . I think Dr Preecha is the good choice for revision , he did my breast implant 20 years ago and they are still there.

Lelux hospital does and they told me if I go for surgery they will refund some of it back.
