doc. or clinic for tramadol script.

Featured Replies

does any one know of a doc. or clinic in the on-nut area where i can try and get a script for tramadol.

would rather not have to go to hospital

Tramadol should still be available in larger Pharmacies OTC. If not you may have no choice other than to use a hospital.

Is there a specific reason for this medication being needed?

It's generally sold OTC in most pharmacies.

Phon Phisai - sits on the Mekong - down river from Nong Khai --- Phon Phisai by Thai standards is a pretty small town -- For reasons I cannot figure out - Phon Phisai has about 12 Pharmacies within easy walking distance from each other-- and everyone of them sell Tramadol at a cheap price... Thailand is an amazing place... Bottom line ... just walk down any city street in Thailand for - oh say - about 2 kilometers - both sides of the street... You could buy a grocery cart full of Tramadol most likely...

i use tramadol for back pain, been going on for 15yrs. have had numerious epiduril injections and have had a cervical/lumbar facet rhizotomy, lasted for 1 1/2yr. have been on almost every type of pain medicine over the years. was on methadone for 4 1/2 years, went cold turkey to get off. the last pain med was delaudid, worked great for pain, but could not function properly. i have also had a dvt. i have found tramadol works good for me and helps make the pain managable. as a side i have also had both knees replaced and have had a frontal sinus obliteration.

been to many pharmacys recently around Bangkok (have used Roong Rote on suk. for 2yrs. and they will not sell tramadol otc anymore.) and have not been able to find one that will sell tramadol otc. was easy untill the end of last year.

This situation has recently changed. It appears the FDA is now monitoring amounts sold and in response some pharmacies have stopped selling it altogether, others are limiting the amount.

went to sukhumvit hospital today and saw a doctor. he asked me how many pills do i want and i told him 100 as 3per day is a months supply. pharmacy would only give 50. cost 1500baht.

sure would be nice to find a doctor or clinic that will write a script for 100+.

Sounds as though you have developed a dependency.

been there done that. was on methadone 4 1/2 yrs. (U.S. veterans adminastration pain management) for pain never again.

can not tell you how many epidurils i have had. in may 2011 had facet rhizotomy, lasted over a year. i am 66 yrs. young and would not do any major procedures and none have ever been offered. have mri reports dating back to 2003.

tramadol makes the pain managable. i do not use it every day, only when in pain, mostly from walking and stairs(can not help in Bangkok) or exercising.

Methadone is an unusual form of chronic pain management.

Over the last few years many techniques have been employed to reduce/manage chronic pain that do not involve the use of narcotics or the need to undergo major procedures .

If you are returning home at some point I would urge that you seek a re evaluation by a pain management specialist.
