I asked once at a car tinting place, was horrified by the ridiclous price that came back. The problem apparently is finding the roll of tint material wide enough, as you dont want joins in it, looks awful.

A company near the railway station did my windows about 4 years ago, but I don't remember the price. True, on wide windows a seam is necessary since the tint material apparently comes in a standard width. But these guys did excellent work, and the seam was barely noticeable.

There are a number of different tints and qualities to choose from.

Here's the streetview of their shop: http://goo.gl/maps/itXzU

You could also try Lumina which is next door to the Maya mall easy to find.

If you fancy diy then you can get a choice of window films from a place halfway down the road from the moat...turn left at siam tv going towards wualai/torch.

It does involve technique and skill though with washing up liquid and water.

Did all the windows in my house myself over 10 year ago now, it is VERY simple, have just a normal detached 3 bedroom house.. washing up liquid and water mixed in a spray bottle, knife, rubber blade [as use on car windows and a cloth.

There is a place on the right hand side of Thape Road (wrong spelling but you know what I mean) heading towards the Moat. Think it was opposite a Temple near the start of the road. It had a very large 3-M Sign on the roof and at the front of the shop.

My wife and I checked it out a couple of years ago and nearly passed-out at the prices. We bought Heavy Drapes instead of surrendering to these bandits but maybe they've reduced the prices since we went there.... 555!
