BANGKOK, 14 April 2014, (NNT) - Pheu Thai Party’s Committee on the party’s affairs, Noppadon Pattama, is defending the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, after the ex-premier was alleged by members of Democrat Party as the ‘root of national problems’.

The accusation stemmed from Mr. Thaksin's well-wishing speech to the people of Thailand during his visit to Hong Kong. He urged Thais to leave the conflict behind and move forwards.

According to Noppadon, Thaksin’s legal advisor, his client bears no ill-will towards the Democrat Party members, yet he has been constantly hounded by them.

He asked the Democrat Party to refrain from such acts, as they have ruined the nation's economy, fueled and prolonged the ongoing political conflicts. He also claimed that various unjust accusations have been lodged against Mr. Thaksin after the 2006 Coup d’etat.

Mr. Noppadon also clarified on the former Prime Minister’s remark on the judicial system that it was not directed to every court, but rather an observation that certain views from certain agencies were clearly in violation of the legal system as well as unconstitutional; for example, the Charter Court’s decision to impeach former Prime Minister Samak Sunthonvej for cooking, the axed Senate Origin Bill, and the annulment of the February 2nd general election.

Noppadon is very well paid to be Thaksin's Thai mouthpiece so anything less than unconditional support might cost him his job.

Just to be fair, the Dems did not ruin the country economically, the 2007 global crisis did. In fact the Dems, specifically Korn, did a surprisingly good job in those difficult times compared to most of the world's economies. The Thaksin years coincided with an easy ride for everyone.... even Gordon Brown looked like he knew what he was doing then.

Although Thailand's problems go deeper than just one megalomaniac it has to be said that the Shins domination of government to the point where it appears to take it's orders from the family's 'capo' in another country is not a desirable state of affairs and surely unique in world politics.

True to form, Noppadon is delegated to mop after the continual messes Thaksin's ego causes, and to " attempt " to clarify his remarks - which is pretty much a tacit acknowledgement by Thaksin that he really messed up with his comments. Actually no clarification was necessary. Everyone knew what Thaksin meant, what Thaksin was saying, and that his comments concerning the judiciary were no accident. He fools no one. Noppadon could save a lot of his time and energy by realizing that his client is actually painfully transparent.

In plain English Thaksin was asking the people to forgive him for all his past and present attacks on the Thai's.

Innocent lives meant nothing to him and still mean nothing to him they are just byproducts of his drive for power and wealth.

He could show some real honest intent by admitting his atrocities and retracting the murder charges he has against Abhist and Suthep in his attempt to cover up his part in his failed 2010 attempted coup.

Not now or ever going to happen.

Just a string of lie's to fool people who he had a chance to give an education to but ignored the chance in favor of his criminal activities.

The man is a disgrace to Thailand.

He should be locked up and given a cell phone that connects to a line that says please hold the line we are busy at the moment we will get to you at the first available operator. All the time playing an Abhist speech in the background.

The ex PM and the caretaker PM have another common problem, both need someone to frollow every newsrelease/speech and explain what they really meant. Is this trait a product of their educational background, their gene make up, or their inability to speak and think at the same time?
