brakes must have been fine, its the brain cells that faded out me thinks

want to stop bus accidents in thailand? kick out the thai drivers and replace them with western licensed bus drivers

In the past, before having my own transport, I had to use buses and they were always double deckers on the longer routes.

There were of course hiccups like breakdowns, punctures, air con failing etc. but I never had much in the way of complaints about the buses, HOWEVER I definitely can't say the same about the manner in which they were driven.

Actually, what's missing for Thai bus drivers is V.I.R.

Maybe i am wrong but i am sure i read somewhere that they were going to ban double decker buses over the Songkran holiday

I give them one day....then the hell with this

Anyone here watch ice road truckers (American) in pakistan..now that was some stupid driving from the locals ..

They were thinking on it for the hilly parts of the country only. HaHaHa.

This follows on the pronouncement by Thai transport officials that all double deckers will now be subject to "check ups." It's a sad illustration that all the Thai pronouncements in the world don't stop accidents, crime, corruption, violence, scamming. It boils down to action, law and order, enforcement and will. None of which Thailand has.
