Nightlife Vang Tau versus Pattaya

I was wondering how the nightlife in Vang Tau , Vietnam compares to that in the premier sex resort of Thailand.I am a regular in Pattaya(esp the infamous Soi 6), but have never been to Vang Tau.The scarce information I garnered from the net indicates that it is much more expensive (ladies drinks. bar fine,etc). Anybody been there recently and can give me an update on prices and "quality'

Vung Tau was pretty good 10 to 15 years ago, but, many bars forced to shut-down by the government.

Even when it was at it's best, it was no where near as good as Pattaya.
