Kindle Paperwhite vs. earlier generation Kindle

Featured Replies

Well worth it. The paperwhite is back lit and can be easily read in a dark room. No need for light attachements.

I owned the original Kindle, and now the paperwhite. Well worth it. It wasn't until I bought a paperwhite as a Christmas gift for my daughter last year that I realized how much better it was. Great screen, and size wise it seems more natural, more book like. My daughter only commented to me a couple of weeks ago that she said to a co-worker who noticed her reading during lunch, that it was the best present ever.

Thought I'd share this. Picture in my back yard this morning, bright sunlight, perfect screen.

+1 for paperwhite, as others mention nice with the back lit touch screen.

I bought mine from the store JT mention in his OP, they shipped it for free to Pattaya and it was fast expedition.

Do take note when buying that there is the "Kindle PaperWhite", and the "New Kindle PaperWhite", or Paperwhite Mk2 I have the Kindle PaperWhite, and it is well worth getting, as I also upgraded from the "keyboard" model.

I wouldn't be surprised if they release yet another update soon. the following might be of some help:
