The Meteorological Department and Chiang Mai University will jointly promote meteorological research and development

The Meteorological Department and Chiang Mai University have signed an agreement on joint technical cooperation on meteorology and related fields.

Department chief Supariksh Tansrirattanawong (ศุภฤกษ์ ตันศรีรัตนวงศ์) said both agencies agreed to support research and development on meteorology and develop a meteorological database for use in the study of natural disasters.

Mr. Supariksh said Thailand would experience unusually heavy rainfalls since the middle of July and so the people should closely follow the department’s disaster warnings
