Apple ID only for Thailand.....what next?

Featured Replies

Yes, just tried to get a free app only to be told the id only for Thailand......what to do?

Sub question: I have two apple IDs with different emails adresses.

When the little panel comes up asking for Apple ID password it has my first id name at the top.

How to change to the other ID....that may be worldwide or whatever.

Thanks!

I'm going to assume that you are on an iPad or iPhone

Go to settings > itunes & App Store

Then click on your Apple ID, select sign out and then sign in with your other id

Use one account for each country you live in a separate credit card of every country coz apple verify the ip

Of country you want sign up and problem is gone

I don't think they verify the IP address as I only have an account set up for my home country and I am able to use that all the time for both iTunes and the App Store

I think the important part is to ensure that you use a credit card that is local to the store that you want to use

You can also set up an account to use gift cards if you want free apps and don't have a credit card for the country of the store that you want to use

You can set this up, to use a foreign credit card, for purchases here, it's a bit tedious... facepalm.gif on Apple's Site it could be made simpler to do .... but it can be done... been there and done it... just be prepare for a bit of frustration to sort it!.... been a while to be able to explain it.... wink.png
