Acting Thai PM goes into hiding as protesters come looking

The Yingluck " Catch Me if You Can " spree is back - by popular demand. Going to Chiang Rai is appropriate - but would have been even more appropriate eleven days ago when the initial 6.3. earthquake occurred. It should be interesting to see his movements, however, in his attempt to balance the people he wants to see and the people he doesn't want to see. One gets the feeling there will be a lot of the sound of whistles. But seriously, this man could have quickly distinguished himself from the pack by going out of his way to take part in talks ( and no, not just with the EC ) that could alleviate this crisis. Instead, he is quickly brushing up on the Yingluck Manual of Perpetual Flight. He says he's the legal PM. But he sure doesn't act like it. Nor has he set a particularly courageous example of one.

Went hiding in the new capital of Lanna Republic already? It is time for the army to move in to counter the separatist.

Is it not time the army moved in to prevent Suthep's mob from unlawfully preventing the government from functioning? Why didn't the army or RTAF soldiers prevent the mob from entering a secure military compound? These failures to act have left many people in no doubt where the military's true allegiancies lie.

After 82 years of coups and massacres , is there still anybody in this planet with some doubts about the army's role ?

Suthep is their employee, it's obvious they can't act against him, he is following his masters' orders.

They throw bombs to their own people, with the excuse to intervene to defend them. These mobsters and their masters cheat the guillible Thais, than they throw bombs to them and finally they intervene "to defend them" ....And there is still people believing this game.....The number of fools is infinite...

You credit the army with too much intelligence, they aren't some sort of free autonomous power, they to are dependent on society and international approval.

So now he knows. It's not all cigars, fine cognac, chauffeur driver Rollers and illicit knee tremblers from the secretaries. There is a responsibility that goes with the premiership, and as a non elected puppet that is due a fall for his complicity in the rice scam, he will likely last as long as a horse race(and I'm not thinking of the grand national here).

Can someone remind me how many times Yingluck visited any place in Thailand other than north-northeast (and those fancy overseas trips of course)? Wasn't Somchai the same?

Now Niwatthamrong is going into the same pattern!

He's meeting coup Senators tomorrow, so he's not in hiding, just disinformation.

He's also clearly not going to Chiang Rai if he agreed to meet the Senate's coup group in the afternoon.

He canceled.

nobody safe from sutheps bullyboy thugs who use fear and intimidation on everyone

Yes - he may be the "Acting Caretaker Prime Minister" with a dubious claim to his elevated position, but even in the worst banana republics it would be highly unusual for a senior member of the government to be chased around the town by a group of protestors of any colour or party allegiance.

So once again the Royal Thai Police fails in its very basic duty, and is a national if not international disgrace. A laughing stock.....

Off course,it's the Thai way, never meet a problem head on,avoid it,it might go away by itself.
