Highlands Golf Course - new 9 holes

Featured Replies

Highlands golf course are adding 9 new holes.

The first new hole will be to the right of the existing 16th and then the majority of the new course will be in the valley behind the existing 12th green. Work looks well under way, with a proposed opening in 2015.

I have no idea what this might do to membership costs / green fees etc. but it should make a nice 27 hole walk in the cool season!

Here is the plan.

A 27 hole golf course......that's going to push your handicaps up a tad. Chai mai?

This is Thailand.

They will be able to accommodate more members and players so no doubt the prices will go down!

I assumed it would be like a course i used to play in bangkok many years ago. It had three nines called, creatively, A, B, and C. When we arrived for our round we'd find out which ones were in play for that day. There was no choice in the matter.

So if they do the same they had better make it a good nine, because i'd hate to miss out on either of the current nines! What a truly stunning course this is.

Also with the addition of 9 holes at MezzaNine, Gold Canyon, Inthanon and the renovated Lake City there will soon been lotsa golf to be had around town. Maybe a drop in prices will be coming? Oh sorry, I forgot, nevermind.
