Dominating the game - Spain looks awfully good, as did the Czechs. Def impressed me more so than any of the other teams thus far.

another game ruined by an overzealous referee.

i know Ukraine were unlikely to stage a comeback, but a sending off and penalty for a small tug outside the area is way over the top. Now its all over as a contest and spectacle.

Quite correct the send off was not necessary - saw a few french players yesterday that deserved as much, but not today. Could be a few more goals before the end of this one.

I'd agree. Spain and the Czechs have looked the best teams so far, both in style of play and goal sharpness. Could add Germany to that, but we'll see the game against Poland later on and judge whether Costa Rica was weak or Germany good.

4-hour nap after this game and then hopefully watch Poland book their bus home. Ballack is back!
