Google Earth's New Images

Featured Replies

Just had a look at the improved imaging.

pretty clear pics of most villages, and fun of zooming and browsing.

Good luck if you want a try.

:o

Just had a butchers. My village is only half built in the new maps - and it has been completed for about a year now - so the maps are actually at least a year old, probably more like 18+ months. Wonder why it took them so long to put them online.

...and with new errors...

And this is really Koh Samui? :o

Well it is an army zone (not high resolution).

My house is on new Map, but Pool no, they have to be just about a year old, lot better than before though.

If anyone can make out a bloke staggering down Soi Diana Inn with 2 women in tow and his hat firmly on the side of his head, it wasn't me right!

Honest mum!

Looks like everywhere east of the dam at Maprachan comes into the "green belt."

Wish someone would tell the developers! :o:D

I've scanned a number of areas recently, and it seems only the Thailand area has been updated. The areas in Afghanistan and Canada I looked at were the same 3+ year old images.

Still, it is nice to be able to get better images of Pattaya. Still need to get down a little more though. Pattaya should have it's own satellite any ways. Then we could get better streaming videos of the different areas, and scope out which bars have put up ballons each night ! :o

Picky, picky, picky. So they miss named Samet in the green zone, and it is a couple years old, but a hel_l of a free service.

The same photo has been up for my place for a year. My house is not there. I wish they would update our section (Sriracha) so I can send it to my folks back home.

555555 :o no, like most poeple I live under the roof !

It is a huge improvement.

Does anyone know what this water feature is? My wife suggests that it might be associated with "Alangkharn " but, as we've never been there, we're not sure.
