Finathon. Save the sharks !

I thought I would let the people on this section know of a very brave lady who tomorrow will swim from KPG to Koh Tao in aid of saving the sharks. This brave / Foolish whistling.gif lady will swim the 43 km's in open water. She estimates it will take around 16 - 18 hours and is planning to arrive at the beach opposite Maya bar in Sairee on Sunday afternoon at around 4- 4 30.

She has already done a swim around Koh Tao successfully.

You can follow her progress on facebook online and if on Koh Tao you can go and welcome her achievement at the beach when she finishes.

It does often amaze me just how much people will do for the sake of saving animals. Those in the diving game will understand the true extent of this ladies endeavour and I for one wish the lady the best of wishes.

Either Google Finathon Koh Tao or look her up on Facebook.

Good luck Gene thumbsup.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif

That stretch of water has to be harder to swim than the English channel. Well done to her & good luck. I hope the media picks this up :)

For those interested the lady managed to do the swim in record time for her and only suffered some sunburn as the rules for open water swimming do not allow the swimmer to completely cover up. a few of the shop DMT's tin rattling around the landing spot managed to raise over 20. 000 Baht from those there to cheer her home.

Well done that lady. clap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif
