Young kid play group?

Featured Replies

Would like my just turned 2 yr old to socialize with kids his own age. He loves playing with his older brothers but I think it would be fun and good for him also to with younger kids. Only speaks a bit but learning English and Thai. Will go to school next year so looking for him to make friends now, either organized or casual, once a or twice a week?? His Thai Mom could take him and she could socialize with the Mothers at the same time but open to any opportunities. We're in San Sai but don't mind driving in the CM area. Anybody have any helpful ideas? Thanks JC

Does not sound like what you are looking for exactly, but my one and a half year old daughter enjoys the pay-to-play playgrounds at Kuad San Kaew and Central Festival. KSK is much cheaper, smaller, and dirtier, so that's where we usually go. It being much smaller also seems to mean it is easier to socialise.

Can't say she is socialising really, but she does seem to enjoy seeing other babies.

I am told the big schools alongside Wat Mae Kaet (not far from you I think?) have a small section for 2 year olds.

Also, as you go north in Mae Jo, make a left at the lights where the old and new 1001 interconnect. Then make another left at the next road (not tiny sois!) and I am also told there is a 'school' for 2 year olds there.

Good luck
