Tuk Tuk manufacturers in Chiangmai

Featured Replies

Most of the major players are either in Bangkok or Chonburi. Chinnaraje company purport to make them here, but in fact only have a service center and spares outlet. My question is, are there any true manufacturers here, or are they all shipped in from other provinces?

A lot of the major hotels and resorts have them custom made, but these are not made in Chiangmai.

Any information would be apreciated :wai:

You are right they are not manufactured in Chiang Mai. However there are a couple of places that recondition old tuktuks. The easiest to find is near to Rimping superstore ping river branch - if you turn off the river road and drive past the entrance of Rimping on your right - keep going to the end of the street and turn right - he is about 100m up the road on the left hand side. I once had a tuktuk souped up to a 600cc four stroke which I then exported to England. Seemed to work out ok.

Where are the new larger, quieter Red ones that are now going around town, manufactured. I was told they were being made in Chiang Mai. there seems to be a long waiting list to purchase one...... anybody have any info on these????

Sadly these are all brought in too. I had a chat with some of the drivers parked at Central Festival, who both said Bangkoksad.png
