Pretty straight forward question as the title says. I was issued my 5 year teacher's licence by TCT in July of 2009 and it's due to expire next month. I wanted to know how do I get it renewed? Is it much like the driver's licence where you bring a new picture, show your ID and fill out a renewal form or do you need to go through all of the long drawn out process of paperwork, photo copies, 3-4 weeks waiting time, multiple trips to TCT, etc. like you do when you get your original?

Thank-you :)

Have you been attending any courses or seminars? You need to be able to show a certain level of demonstrable "professional development" to renew the licence.

This is the only English information I can find just now.

I attended a couple of seminars early on but they were all conducted in Thai. I also took a year off and attended classes at Ramkhamheang University studying Phonetics, Linguistics, Phonology, Philosophy, Psychology, Thai History and Literature, and a strange Thai course in Ethics and Morals maintaining a 3.85 GPA.

Still need to know about any forms/paperwork I need to submit and can it be done by mail.

That should be enough further development, but you will need proof, certificates of attendance.

You seem like a "real" teacher and as such should be able to get the establishment you work for to assist you with this. My school did all the paper work, I just signed each page.

These were regular university courses/classes so there are no certificates of completion. There are however, the transcripts showing all courses completed with grades over a 1 year period.
