Gold robberies at Raumchok Market,1 dead

Featured Replies

On the Mae Jo road,Raumchok Market has 3/4 gold shops, on Saturday

night thieves, gained entry and made off with a quantity of gold .

This morning the owner of another gold shop next door was opening up

his shop, and was attacked by a robber, the owner had a gun and shot

the robber dead,my wife a nosy bugger had to go and investigate, under

the guise of going to pay the water bill at 7/11, she said there were crowds

milling around and the dead robber was still on the floor.

Theres desperate people out there who will do anything to get money for,

drugs, gambling, pay debits, or just to feed their families, there was another

report on ThaiVisa saying approx half the country is up to the eyes in debit

and will default on whatever loans they have,so maybe we can expect more

crime?

Through the grape vine its reported that the dead robber was a

army man of rank, and his wife a teacher at a private school,

desperation, makes you do stupid things.but i suppose his worries

are over now,for him at least.

I think this is the same as a cm108 article i saw earlier....but at this early stage just seems to indicae a teacher. You might recognise the shop in pictures.

You gotta feel more sorry for the shop owner some times,

Is that a bad link ???

couldn't get it either.

I think "Worgeordie"is rite the household debt has gone up so much in the last year that not only are the drug addicts getting desperate but so are the family people. Hope they don't go to the lengths some of the rice farmers did and off them selves.

Twas good this morning mind you had several attempts ro load Cm108 home page and seems to have problems now ss well. Its the latest (or was) article on home page.

Yet everyone keeps saying that the economy is booming and unemployment is very low.

I've mentioned this in a few topics about the huge and rapid increase of household debt. You can ask my children about it - they get it drummed into them at least once a week. saai.gif

The above is a sad event; seems they were a very desperate person. Yesterday I also heard of someone who hung herself. Again it was debts but not sure if her own or she had guaranteed someone elses.
