David48
Humm ... an 80% chance hey? So my odds are 4/1 on that I'm in that considered class. The Doormat Class ... well, that would explain my flat forehead ... Maybe I could get people to walk over my gut ... that could do with some flattening. .
ppmacready
Where's the category for the guys who have taken advantage of Thai women? I'm sure that would make a more interesting post! I'm positive that goes on more with the girls that go to live with their new masters in the west. Knew of two personally myself. Another low life here, been on the DHS most of his life, had his wife only semi retire from the game, to help keep him in the lazy style he was accustomed too. When drunk driving here, he caused a serious accident and was forced to pay. So she was forced to work again on his behalf. After 10 years of being treated like a dog she left him. Apparently he was 'special' though! He was described by his friends and family as the closest westerner to a Thai man she could get! He still works in walking st now as the manager of a Go Go bar. His friends and family warned me about him. But even I had to learn the hard way! .

You just come across like a very bitter and twisted guy ! Its just so much easier to write 'doormat' when describing this type of 'man'. Than spineless, emotionally deficient, gormless, feeble minded etc etc etc. 'Doormat' nails it in one go, don't ya fink!

And actually your experience is the norm but rarely mentioned on TV as there's nothing special or scandalous about it. Everyone I know is in a similar "normal" relationship. Makes me wonder how the OP and those like him manage to get themselves into such situations.

Popular Post Cam Khao
I see the flip side of this quite frequently. Young girl, catches what she thinks is a wealthy, older western man, because she only knows him while he is on vacation with a pocket full of spending money. Fast forward a year, they are married, he may have built a house, probably not the palace he promised her. He's 70+ with a minimal income, just enough to scrape up the visa requirements. She's 30, and now spends her life working as a nursemaid, one that is also required to cater for her patient's sexual needs. They don't go anywhere, he just wants to sit outside his house in a village somewhere, waiting to die. No more vacations, no more party times, just a scrape by on his minimum income existence. Then he professes to be amazed and shocked several years later when she decides she's had enough of working as his slave, never having any fun, only taking care of an old man who wasn't the rich prince he professed to be when they met, and decides that the house is a suitable level of remuneration for her services to date, and kicks him to the curb. Sound familiar?

Sound familiar? Seen it so many times. But an old fool and his money are easily parted, as I'm sure a man of your great wisdom would know. But I recommend the guy buys the house with a 30 year mortgage. Not lease. If he is foolish enough to believe it will last forever in the first place. I also recommend for nurses, Cebu is without doubt the place to find one. Especially this time of year when they have just finished their exams.
