My apartment comes with a parking space in the multi-storey lot in the development, and I have no plans to use it. My landlord just called to tell me a tenant in the building would like to rent it from me for 1,000 baht a month (on a 12 month contract). Is this a fair price for a space a few hundred metres from Rama 9 MRT, or could I get more if I tried to find my own renter?

Probably could get more but 1000 isn't bad. I rent mine out for about 600- but it's off the main road- just a neighbour who needed a space and I had one so it felt like money for nothing really.

I guess you could back and suggest more- how busy it around there? I've seen ones around lower Sukhumvit advertised for around1500. So I guess 1000 - 1200 would be okay.

It's pretty busy, but I think 1,000 a month will be more than enough. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being screwed, and end up kicking myself when I learn the going rate is 5,000 soon after I signed a contract :P

Yes my Thai pal rents a space at one of the apartments on Suk 15 - 1500 baht a month and about a two minute motorcycle taxi to Asoke BTS.
