I believe the sedition part is when he said he/PDRC would remove the caretaker Government and install a peoples council and he would chose the leader and claim sovereignty, if the courts or the Junta failed to remove them from power..

All water under the bridge now, let's not dwell on the past eh? Time to move on, have a ticket to the movies...

What did he do? You must be kidding!

OED defines sedition as: "Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch."

Hmm rants and organizes crowds to shut down Bangkok, occupies government buildings, blocks election sites, prevents candidates from registering to run for office, vows to bring government down, etc etc. Why didn't they hunt him down like members and supporters of former government? It takes two to tango, and he took the lead on this dance. But like they also say "He who pays the piper calls the tune".

But Suthep asked the DSI to delay the date for passing the case to public prosecutors on ground that the PDRC wanted more time to fin evidences.

Suthep needs time to find some evidence? shock1.gif He has had a lot of spare time on his hands lately, although I suspect it is taken up by meetings with lawyers over the range of charges he up on.

Isn't it the role of the prosecutors to find and put the evidence, I would have thought he would be looking for alibis.

Well it certainly looks strange.

But when you stop and think about it you realize they were trumped up charges the PTP was using in their desperate effort to get Thaksin white washed and hang on to their power it makes sense. Just like Yingluck bringing in evidence that she was not an airhead. Just doing as she was told.

(Well, there are suddenly a handful of Thai yellows posing as ferang with Thainglish, which is hilarious).

What's truly hilarious is your ludicrous speculation that a segment of the Thai population is posting here as fake farang.

Everyone who was involved in or helped organize the shutting down of polling centers should be thrown in jail. There is absolutely nothing productive about doing such a thing.

When seventeen people fight over a toothpick, someone is always going to get the spikey end. Shame it's pointing in OD. And it's not custard or tart!

Perhaps it would be wise to remember that it is not only Suthep who is facing sedition charges and other linked charges The charges/ accusations cover all hues of the political scene.

Justice should be impartial, if one is pardoned all must be pardoned .If one is incarcerated all must be incarcerated. No selectivity.

However this being Thailand, time alone will demonstrate just what actions(if any) will develop.

This case should be resolved 10 years after the airport case against the yellow skirts is resolved. Justice has never been fast for those who have money in Thailand.

Suthep same side as the general. Same faction. So corrupt he makes Thaksin (whom I don't like) look like Mother Teresa. Such a circus,

The red rabble are going to love this thread seeing as how they have very little left to crap on about.

is that all you got?

It would be nice to see justice being done for a change, after all he's done to rip the country apart, and it only took 3 years for him to admit HE gave the order to use live rounds on people and to shoot them in the wai2.gif Opp's legscheesy.gif Now that's having courage of his convictions huh? Not all people that were shot were rioting now were they, FACT...

How's that for "red rabble" to crap on about. or do the yellow streaked cowards not like it when the shoe is on the other foot.

All cases against Suthep for running amok will disappear into a legal black hole, never to be seen nor heard of again.

That's how it is in Thailand for those who are above the rule of law, and that's how it's always been.

He will delay and delay it until everyone has forgotten what he did to this country. But he will never let thaksin or Yingluck delay anything. Fair is fair.

".......what he did to this country."

What did he do to this country, except begin the Shinawatra eradication scheme?

Yes! 6 months of reminding the Thai people of "The sins of the Shins." And, in the words of Bruce Forsyth, "Didn't he do well"

Not the Thaksin. Don't worry, S.C.S. (Supreme Citizen Suthep). Go home and have your illegal migrant workers cut some more rubber trees and snatch a few more logs of teak, and we will exonerate you. Not the Thaksin. It's okay your guards tortured a man -- at your protest site -- then tied him up and threw him in a river to die. Not the Thaksin. It's okay a man was shot and put into a coma in front of his pregnant wife for desecrating Sacred Traffic Cones. Not the Thaksin. It's okay your court case about previous charges was not, ahem, accelerated (of course four years is a proper speed for due process). Not the Thaksin.

Yeah.........right.........all is well, and all manner of things will be well -- Just like TS Eliot said!

Sooooooo full of crap.

C'mon all Just and Fair with power influencing this process.....

The man is a blatantly seditious, malevolent and immoral blight on the majority of the community..... (beyond belief to many!)

NOW was never a more appropriate time to ensure justice and give those with honour in Thailand a sense of hope for the future of this wonderful country with so much potential for community prosperity on so many worthy levels!
