Saw these recently in the AIS store. Good looking 4" and 4.5" Android phones - they look like they'd be 10k baht, but they cost only 1700 and 2700.

Why are they so cheap? What's the catch.

Cheap specifications. Partially subsidized by AIS.

Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Hm - does that mean I need to get an AIS SIM to use it with? Or can I just use it with my existing True sim

Might be cheap specs but honestly this is a far cry from what one could buy for much more money last year. I remember looking at a 5,000 Baht Samsung phone with a teeny tiny and a barely working Android version just last year.

I tried the Lava phone, it seems to work well. And it has a big screen too.

They come with a free AIS sim and one month of service but are not useable on the TRUE band.

A friend who still liked her old Blackberry but wanted to try a smartphone and have access to LINE bought one (the one that looks similar to the HTC-1) and it seems to be ok. Very plasticy build quality and limited RAM but for the money, not a bad deal.

Why not buy a Asus zenphone4 4 inch screen, only around 3000baht, i have one for the money a great little phone and dual sim and can use with all networks, you can buy from BigC.

They come in zenphone5 and zenphone6, which are the 5 inch and 6 inch versions.
