Who Said No Advertising On Thai Tv Transmissions?

Featured Replies

We've had a few self righteous posts, extolling the wonderful Thai transmissions, with nothing on the screen but the games. Where else in the world can you get that? they asked.

Well for the past few nights the TV station logos have started appearing in the bottom right corner, a running clock has appeared in the top left corner (which, just as you get used to it being there, annoyingly disappears for minutes at a time, when you finally want to do a time check), and last but not least, has anyone noticed the top right hand corner fold down to reveal a Chang logo for about five seconds, and the roll up again. This happens frequently throughout the matches.

You can just imagine that guy at Chang feeling a bit pissed off about not being allowed to advertise after he paid all that money out, so he came up with an idea that he hopes he'll get away with. After all, TIT. who's going to do anything? And if nothing happens, the next thing you know we'll be having three quarter screen ads, with the games reduced to a postage stamp.

The whole fiasco with Chang and the world cup demonstrates better than I could ever explain the low level of integrity and ethics in most Thai businesses. They don't give a F...!

Anyone know FIFA's phone number? :o

Doesn't bother me to much , but that Chang commercial and stupid song is getting annoying.

Doesn't bother me either.

It just amuses me to see that yet again, they say one thing - like you will be able to see every minute of the World cup, on uninterrupted ad free, full screens - and do another. :o
