Since you are planning to be out all day, is there any particular reason that it needs to be near Bearing? If there are some personal reasons that you would rather not discuss, the just tell me to shut up and mind my own business! LoL! In reality, there isn't much out there. It isn't exactly a tourist area. Do you require access to the BTS? If so, how far from the BTS would be acceptable for you? There are hotels scattered all over the place that have no internet presence whatsoever. I live in the On Nut area, and there are many, many places that have rooms available to rent on a daily basis. They aren't exactly hotels, but they do have daily rates that are quite competitive. Many of them don't have English names. Quite a few of them don't even have English signage. Nonetheless, they exist all over the place.

I've noticed the same to be true of the other areas I routinely drive around on this side of town. Udomsuk has a number of them as well. I cannot imagine that Bearing would be any different. That is just beyond the area I drive around regularly, so I don't have any specific recommendations for Bearing. If you need any suggestions for On Nut, I could probably come up with a few names for you.

The most important thing you should probably mention to people is the kind of budget you are looking at. Everyone has a different concept of 'cheap'. It is extremely difficult to give a recommendation without some sort of price range to reference. Second, it would be a lot easier to make a recommendation if you gave us an idea of your need to be near the BTS and what constitutes 'near' for you. By providing specific answers to those questions, I am sure the collective group of posters here at Thai Visa can come up with a few options for you. Without that information, it is kind of like throwing a dart blindfolded. We know the general direction, but we aren't quite sure where the center of the board is.

I have stayed here a few times--an o.k place @ 800baht---sometimes less when they have promotions --- about 3ks further on than Bearing --down Udom Suk--I think the Bts stops at the junction of Sukumvitt - Udom Suk ? -- worth a look if nothing else gets your attention
