Not exactly visa related--Reporting to district office.

Featured Replies

With the morning headman report it was said that all foreigners must report their village location to the district office by the 9th. Anyone else get this. My village is a few clicks outside of Phimai.

District Office should not normally have any cause for contact with foreigners unless for Yellow Book or such - perhaps they are going to issue? That could be good news. Local reporting would be a Police matter and most often they prefer no contact unless they request it. Would be interesting to see further reports and hear your experience.

Foreigners as in westerners or foreigners as in labourers from neighbouring countries?

Might have something the do with foreign labour registration.

That could well be what it is as they are using unconventional means to register foreign workers currently and that might include Civil authorities to provide greater coverage. This process includes ID cards which a District Office would be able to produce if they had the blanks.
