Probably the best answer in LOS. There seem to be only 2 bikes to buy here Honda or Kawasaki for reasons of accessibility of parts. The 2 corporations own the market here. A 500 is a good learning bike. I have a 650 2011 Kawi ER6n that I love but started on a 1948 Harley many moons ago. The 550 Honda super four would blow the doors off the Harley except in top end. The weight is the biggest factor along with proper training & practical skills to get to be a good rider. Here a 650 is perfect for in town runs & a liter bike just would be to heavy & bulky in Pattaya for my tastes. Back in the states My smallest bike is a 1000cc where you need & want a lot of grunt & a lot of engine to keep up with the faster speeds on the roadways. The 500 Honda will serve you well. Congrads & ride safely & enjoy! No one has to belabor the point that you really have to be super aware in this country driving. Vietnam is slightly worse from what I hear in regards you do not make a mistake since everyone drives as a pack.
