P.P. to SNKVILLE, taxi or v i p bus

Featured Replies

Anyone rough idea how much taxi (2 people) phnom penh- sinhoukville, how long trip, or V I P bus same route.

thankyou Songhklasid.coffee1.gif

4-5 hours in taxi, 6-8 hours in a bus. $60(ish) for a taxi. $10 (each) for a bus. I'd rather kebab myself than take another bus in Cambodia but many others feel the same way about taxi services...

A decent bus is USD 5.5 (22K riel) from PP. I took Capitol which was ok. They have a service bus from the bus station to their office in the city center - nice as you can advoid the motorbike guys trying to rip you off.

A taxi might be faster but with all those trucks on the highway I would not feel safe.

There are also smaller buses which are more comfy and cost more.

Bus trip on a weekday afternoon took 5 hrs including a pit-stop half-way.

Thanks, I,ll consider bus as I stay billabong hotel, there's a bus station near the big market, last time I travelled P.P. -kampot by taxi, thats was terrifying, 12 years ago.

cheers S.S.coffee1.gif

Giant Ibis will cost more than Capitol but they also pick you up and drop off. Small Bus not a Van. Might be worthwhile.

PP Sorya and Bung Virak are not so great.

Anyhow all buses are close to your location. I personally prefer Capitol, so far persistently solid performance and no breakdowns on the road.
