Short term, say, less than 6 months, is unlikely to want unfurnished. Long-term (1-year+) will probably dislike the furniture they see. At least I abhor the furnished ones I have seen, fit for college dorms or doghouses.

For tax purposes, many people rent them furnished and split the rent 50% for rent and 50% for furniture rental.

You may try to rent it unfurnished first and see the response - if not good, then try to furnish it.
